The Exchange Hotel function rooms – the perfect place to
mix with friends, family and business colleagues.

The iconic Exchange Hotel Balmain, offers a choice of stunning function rooms combining old world charm with chic, sophisticated styling to provide the perfect canvas to host your next event. Located on the ground and first floor of this historic establishment, the flexible function spaces can accommodate groups from 10 – 250 guests. Famous for party celebrations, the Exchange Hotel is also a favourite choice for corporate meetings and business events.

The Boardroom

Located on the first floor, The Boardroom is one of our most popular venue choices. Featuring a private bar and access to the balcony this flexible space is ideal for intimate parties, corporate events, meetings or private dinners. The Boardroom is suitable for up to 70 guests for a cocktail style event, or 25 guests for a seated dinner party.

The Bistro

A spectacular, contemporary inspired room, The Bistro boasts stunning city views from its first floor location. Perfect for private dinner parties, intimate celebrations & cocktail style events this gorgeous venue has a private bar.

The Pool Room

This ground floor venue boasts décor reminiscent of a traditional English club – wall panelling timber floors, deep buttoned sofas and sports photos adorning the walls. It’s the ideal space for groups of 30 – 60 people for a casual event.

The Chesterfield

Let the party begin – in The Chesterfield! This is the ultimate space for a large party of up to 250 guests. A fabulous party venue located on the ground floor with adjustable lighting and the option for live music or DJ. This space is popular for 21st Birthday celebrations. The Chesterfield can also be combined with the Pool Room to allow for large groups if required.

The Roundabout

This informal area is great to gather with friends. The Roundabout on our covered balcony caters for up to 30 people.

Cocktails & Canape Class

Our cocktail courses are a great option for corporate team building or networking events, and fantastic for private groups to celebrate special occasions such as birthdays or hens parties in a unique way.

Group classes run from Mon - Thur from 3pm - 5pm or 5.30pm - 7.30pm and Sat afternoons, depending on availability.

Cocktail courses for groups of 15 people or less will run for 2 hours and are priced at $70pp.

Large groups of 15-30 people are split into two x 1 hour groups at $40pp.

We also offer a cocktail course and dinner package for $120 per person.
